Reunion 2006 Deadlines: You must register for the NORAD tour by September 1, 2006. September 8 is the deadline for registration and optional tours. The hotel reservations deadline has already passed so the discount rate is no longer available, but you can still surprise everyone by showing up at the reunion! Be there if you are able. Official reunion dates are September 19 to 21 at the Sheraton in Colorado Springs Co. Many Tigers plan to arrive a couple days earlier and some may stay a couple days after so make your plans to stop by if you can. Late update…. There are no vacancies for the NORAD tours; both are reserved to capacity.
Recent web site posting by Clyde Orr (68-69)
As I looked at the calendar this morning the date jumped out at me. On August 7, 1968 I boarded a plane headed for DaNang. How could I have known that thirty-eight years later I would still be involved with a group of great people that shared my same fate. I just want to thank Gil for starting the web site and the 6924th Heritage Association that brought us all together. I would like to let all you folks that have never made one of our reunions to know that you are really missing an opportunity to meet up with some terrific people and to renew some old friendships with guys that you were stationed with. I urge all of you to join us in Colorado Springs. Make your reservations now.
Time is getting short. Make your reservations and friends Fly Free* to Las Vegas! For a limited time, when you buy a air/hotel vacation package the second person flies free* when traveling on the same itinerary. Book Now! (GIL NOTE: copy/click on link below....)http://www.allegiantair.com/aaLanding_241_flyfreetovegas.php?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=241_20060806 Use this to get to the Veteran’s day Mini Reunion. Bring your wife or significant other or whoever you travel with.Vegas Vets day parade and Mini. Gil posted this on the web site recently. I received the Vegas Entry packet that was addressed to Steve Engel at the 6924th Heritage Assn address so we have the package. The question now is do we have the PEOPLE that can/will commit to go in November...? The deadline for the parade deal is in early September this year so IF we want to do the parade, it'll have to be in and done sometime in late August. Contact Gill or your sponsor if you plan to attend.I haven't seen much/any activity on folks saying they'll make the fun in Vegas so I guess it's about time to ASK.............. Who's plannin' to come, hopin' to come have some fun with us for a few days...?

For you folks that do not attend the reunions. A lot of the raffle prizes are worth some big bucks. Just look at the list. Cash prizes donated by the Gilster, and another famous quilt designed by Jer from Texas, gift certificates, plus many other great items. The annual raffle is the only fundraiser we have. You need not be present to win. Prizes will be sent to the winners, unless the prize is booze or something that cannot be sent through the mail. Help the association by purchasing some tickets. Let's have a record turnout this year. Let's Roll Tigers
