Reunion Welcome Luncheon speaker named!
The 6924th Heritage Association is pleased to announce that Mr. Danny Russell has consented to be our Welcome Luncheon speaker in Colorado Springs this year. Mr. Russell served in USAFSS from 1966-1970 as a Morse Intercept Operator stationed first at Misawa 67-69, and Pleiku & Da Nang RVN 69-70. He is the recipient of the Air Medal, Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross.During his tour in Vietnam, he was shot-down twice within two hours and found himself "right in the middle of the bad guys" in the A-Shau Valley. Mr. Russell will speak about the value of TEAMWORK at the luncheon. Tickets to the Welcome Luncheon are included as part of the "Reunion Registration Package." Reunion 2006 Cut-offs are coming up soon. August 15, 2006 is the deadline for registering for the NORAD tours and August 19, 2006 is the cut-off for the reduced rate hotel rooms. So if you are thinking of attending make your plans now! The 6924th Heritage Association 2006 Annual Reunion is at the Sheraton Hotel, Colorado Springs, CO., September 19-22, 2006. Early registration will begin Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 in the Hospitality room from 3-5 PM. Call the hotel directly for reservations 719-576-5900 and mention the 6924th Security Squadron Reunion to get the reduced rate. More information is available on the web site or contact Gil or your sponsor.
